Burning lady!

Hey, guys! Do you remember - in the beginning of my Erasmus, in my room, still with Mario and Carlos we made a traditional Lithuanian fest. We eat pancakes and after all – we were burning a lady. So, last weekend there was the same festival in Lithuania. In English normally this festival should be called The Mardi Gras.

Normally during this festival we go to some traditional villages all over Lithuania and we eat pancakes and burn ladies. Ladies we burn are called More. It symbolizes winter. It’s kind a festival to say goodbye for the winter and welcome spring. During the “burning ceremony” we shout: “Žiema, Žiema, bėk iš kiemo” (it means: “Winter, Winter, go away from us”).

So, just to remember – some photos from that… :)
