Labas, my dear Erasmus people. Two things are incredible at the moment. First, that I’ve finally found some time to write to you all longer post; second – that I was waiting for this moment almost 2 months. Well… maybe “waiting” is not very suitable word. Better would be “delaying”, because of looooots of work I had to do.
Anyway, what I wanted to tell you about is… me! Of course! Me in Lithuania. Ha, yes I could see all our best Erasmus Lithuanians, who I was missing so much for 2 years.
Spending time with Laura, as you all know of course, is always unexpectable. Although she was very busy at job, she was taking care of me all the time. So, what normally tourists cannot experience in visiting Vilnius and the rest Lithuania is for example taking part in regatta, winning the canoe, supporting Lithuanian basketball team in pubs or partying in the club with Laura and Mario.
Just at the first day after my sightseeing and Laura's work we went to support Lithuanian basketball team which was playing against Spain. Wow. Basketball really is the main religion in this little country. I don't even think, that football is provoking so big emotions in Poland. I have never seen so many basketball games before (in LT I've seen 4).
When we weren't watching games, mostly I was sightseeing, and Laura was unfortunately working. But... Laura wouldn't be Laura, if she hadn't have something extra ;) With her workmates we were taking part in regatta, sailing an old russian pontoon, we've got SECOND place, got the diplomas with plenty of funny mistakes in our names and in the end we won a great canoe in the lottery! What a day...

Party with Laura and Mario, only Carlos was missing, as his mobile, which none of us had a correct and actual number ;)
Nothing lost, thank's to internet Carlos was found and we finally met together. Where? Of course in the pub. What we were doing? Of course supporting basketball teams :D All the pub was for Lithuanian team, and me the only one for Polish team... well, that's the next prove that Lithuanians are one of the nicest nations in the world: I was safe, even that Poland won.
Guys hasn't changed anything! It was like everyday in Fish bar - great feeling to see together again.
Apart of that all, what is also important, (not as much as Erasmus people), I have seen quite a lot things, Vilnius of course - it's a really the city of churches, they are everywhere, and after few days you really have no idea in which you've already been and in which not. They are all nice, but so many, that some of that are just after-church buildings, but their function is completely different: I've seen concert hall-church, hospital-church, even prison-church (closed now) ; Except this, that's really beautiful city, good for artists and youngs - lot of freshness and good feelings.
I will not show you a lot of photos of Vilnius, you need to go and see! And find Uzupis, which I was looking for all my staying there, and surrounding it, but I failed. Laura took me there the last day.
We went also to Trakai Castle, to Kaunas, I was to the seaside - I've stayed one night in Klaipeda and I saw a beautiful place called Nida.
In Trakai Laura closed me in the cage! Ha, but of course I entered there by myself...
Nida - all the buildings are wooden with the blue and white shutters - looks wonderful.
At the end, few words about food! It's delicious, but unfortunately and probably for some of you may be too fatty... well, for me was not ;) After cepelinas and beer which we had the last night, I was sleeping all the way home as a baby ;) Yep, because my bus was late in the evening, I spent the last hours in Vilnius with Laura, Mario and Carlos together in a great atmosphere.
I hope we'll see soon again. Thank you Laura for your hospitality, thanks also for your mum, who was so nice for me during my staying in your home.
