Saint Patrick Day in Ireland!!!

Hi everybody! We would like to show you the way people celebrate big St. Patrick Day in Ireland. To introduce you this ¨guy¨ we put a piece of history from his life ;)

Saint Patrick was aRoman Britain-bornChristian missionary and is the patron saint of Irelande along with Brigid of Kildare and Columba. When he was about sixteen he was captured by Irish raiders and taken as a slave to Ireland, where he lived for six years before escaping and returning to his family. He entered the church, as his father and grandfather had before him, becoming a deacon and a bishop. He later returned to Ireland as a missionary in the north and west of the island, but little is known about the places where he worked and no link can be made between Patrick and any church. By the eighth century he had become the patron saint of Ireland.

Saint Patrick Day is celebrated on March 17. Usually in bigger cities people organize great parades. The parade was really long and presented a lot of communities and cultures which exsist in Cork society. It was great day with great atmosphere, lots of people in the city centre and full pubs.

Here you have some pictures from this big day :)
