Lietuva – the land of rain...

So, I think I have to start writing some “e stuff”, because if not – this blog can die before we will start to use it… :) Well, what I can write, just some news from my city and my country. News is not so impressing, because it’s raining all the time and I feel very bad. I can’t complain, because today I saw a little piece of sun. But just very little.

Today I finally went to city center. From my home it’s just 5 minutes on foot, but I didn’t manage to this earlier. All city looks now like a big building company. They are reconstructing and building everything around (poor tourists, they don’t see half of things) – as I said, preparation for 2009! So you all for sure have to be there! If you forgot what will be then, so: 1000 years for Lithuania and Vilnius will be cultural capital of Europe. By the way, now we have traditional songs and dances festival. All city is full of people – in Vilnius now there are about 1.5 millions people. Just think, usually there are just 600 000. :) I know – big village… ;)

So… What else… Hmmm… I don’t know! :) So, for this time – enough! Still it will be some start for the blog, not just Sebobos’ invitation.

P.S.: And especially for Polish, I found that: “The geographical centre of Europe is located not far from Vilnius. According to the French National Geographical Institute, the geographical centre of Europe lies 24 kilometres north of Vilnius, going along the Molėtai highway.“ I said you – we have the center! :)

By the way, that's part of old town and... here I live! :) My room has windows with a balcony on the last floor... :)
